Pastor Terry Jones of the “Dove World Outreach” Center in Florida has called for a major burning of thousands of copies of the Quran on 9/11/10. He has been met with criticism by claiming that this is not in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ. In an interview with CNN, Pastor Jones claims that it is time stand up to an oppressive faith and show them that we have had enough.
There isn’t much to say about the idiocy of this guy and his followers. They chose the 9th anniversary instead of the 10th. Whoops!
In all seriousness, this is another shameful day in American history. Compassion and memory of people who died in the attack are again being clouded by a small group of idiots led by a guy who looks like he build custom choppers. This is unfortunately the image that spans the news…worldwide.
There are people left in America who dislike those who terrorize and kill people, and still don’t attach them to all of Islam. I was sitting there playing gin with my friend Jeb (a snake handler), and i found him palming cards just like Syed. Damn Snake Handlers! I always knew I couldn’t trust em. Just as I was about to curse his slimy reptile smelling christian hand i had an epiphany…i need to start paying more attention because everyone seems to cheat me at gin rummy.
Pastor Jones- please take the wood you were going to use for the bonfire and build a house for someone. Please use the press and media coverage you are getting to spread good will toward men. And finally please don’t ever call yourself a true American ever again, because you’re a racist fundamentalist christian, and those two titles are supposed to be like oil and water.
