Former Blackhawk Brent Sopel was visited by a gross spirit over the weekend. The Ghost of Senator Robert Byrd haunted Sopel at a local watering hole, and demanded that he read So Long, Brent Sopel, an imgross article that made its way onto hockeybuzz.com.
The colorful language included in the article (some of which compared his body to blood sausage) did not immediately flatter the defenseman, but was encouraged to read the article in full by the post-mortem Byrd.
Upon completion of reading the article, Sopel took a minute to reflect. He then took out a Sharpie, and signed the cover sheet. It reads:

Thanks,
Brent Sopel 5″
Sopel then pleaded with The Ghost of Senator Robert Byrd to leave him alone because the spirit reminded him of his own impending demise.
