Yet another case of the wealthy using their assets to corner an emerging market is developing in Oakland, California. Oakland’s City Council will likely approve licenses for companies that will mass produce and distribute legalized marijuana, essentially putting all the small growers in the area out of business. Guess it’s time to buy stock in Gropech and iGrow, who will be paying $211,000 annually for permits to grow and distribute. This is just a sign of things to come nationwide. I’m personally disappointed for all the good people who sell weed to feed their families. Corporate America has won again.
