John Daly drank 7,000 Diet Cokes last year

That’s what the bottom line on CNN read earlier today during a John Daly comeback segment.

Let’s go over this:

7,000 Diet Cokes. That’s about 19 cans a day. Assuming he sleeps 7 hours a day (awake for 17 hours and not consuming alcohol), he drinks 1.1 Diet Cokes per hour of the day. Now, this just doesn’t seem possible. It’s on the same level as trying to figure out Wilt Chamberlain’s 20,000 women claim.
