Lebron is going to be a Chicago Bull next year

Well, at least, that’s what ESPN’s Chris Broussard has been spreading around town.

Yesterday, Broussard stopped by ESPN 1000′s Afternoon Saloon, speculating that James has given thought to leaving the Cavaliers for the Bulls when he becomes a free agent on July 1. The radio show was flooded with calls. And for some reason, most of them seemed negative. This blew my mind.

Listen, I understand that Lebron is not Michael Jordan. To be honest, Lebron never will be. Jordan is the best player ever, that’s it.  Lebron James is Lebron James, the best player currently playing in the NBA.  We know what we would be getting.

This still wasn’t good enough. Callers kept arguing that he is too cocky, he dances too much, he is on too many commercials, he doesn’t want to win, and all he cares about is money.

This is stupid. This all reminds me of this guy that I know. His favorite movie ever is Star Wars. When ET beat it in the box office, he hated ET. It might have still been a great movie, but since it beat his Star Wars it was wasn’t good in his eyes. Jordan is Star Wars and Lebron is ET.

Get over it. If you put this guy in the back court with Rose, if Noah continues to improve, and if the pieces that they already have continue to come together, the Chicago Bulls will be playing in or around the NBA Finals for the next decade.

Please, spare me the comparisons. His Cavaliers team have won 60 games in two straight seasons.

He isn’t a winner?

Here are some comparisons for you:

-Michael Jordan didn’t win his first championship until his 7th year in the league.  This is Lebron’s 7th season.
-Michael and Kobe both had super stars in Pippen and Shaq. Lebron’s best sidekick has been Antwan Jamison and a 64 year old Shaq.
- Both MJ and Kobe have had Phil Jackson. Lebron has Mike Brown.

——

It’s simple. Get a coach, get Lebron next to Rose, and the Bulls will win.

It might not be Star Wars but ET will do just fine.

MJ is gone. We already let Kobe get away. Lets fucking get Lebron now.

You get him if you can! They could have traded the whole team for Kobe when they had a chance and I’d have been happy – now they can get Lebron as a free agent – DO IT!
