Muhammadiya, an Islamic organization is banning a Kelly Clarkson concert in Jakarta, Indonesia because it is being sponsored by a tobacco company. Smoking has been previously forbidden under Islam by the organization.
“We do not need to put another fatwa on a thing that is already clear,” Yanuar IIyas, head of Muhammadiya said.
In response, Clarkson’s agent Barry Goldmansberger was quoted as saying, “Fine…We don’t need to go there…..Oh…..Yeah…..Uh……Let’s not do that show there Kelly.”
Kelly Clarkson’s music is far more hazardous than cigarettes anyway.
