Charles Phong had no idea what the others were giggling about. Phong, a foreign exchange student from South Korea had only been in the States for 17 days, hardly enough time to adjust to the culture shock before the kids began razzing him about his fashion sense.
“Chuck, dude….It says ‘Im gay’ right here on your shirt” one classmate said as he ran his index finger along the Stussy logo’s jagged lines. Phong still didn’t understand. He barely had time to learn how to conjugate verbs, let alone understand hidden meaning in 90′s surfwear logos.
“Im not gay.” Phong reiterated his sexual orientation without the obligatory foreign Harold & Kumar-esque pelvic thrust.
“Just don’t wear that mossimo shirt you have for a while and this will all blow over” said Barry, a newfound chum.

I’m gay, however.
