(CNN) — A Kentucky man high on marijuana and drunk on whiskey put his 5-week-old son in the oven Sunday and left him there overnight, police said.
The oven door was slightly ajar, and the oven was not turned on.
So, apparently after smoking a few bowls at the restaurant that he works at, Larry Long, 33, went back to his place to get messed up on a fifth of whiskey with his baby mama, Brandy. The report says that Brandy had her fair share of whiskey, but headed off to bed leaving Larry drinking alone with their 5 week baby.
Brandy woke in the morning to her baby crying from a slightly ajar oven.
When poor Larry learned what he had done, he called a psychiatric facility. The facility immediately called the authorities as there was no way a man like Larry should be within 1,276 feet from an infant. Larry was later arrested and is being held on $10,000 bond.
Of course, Larry has since blamed his actions on the marijuana, which he believes was laced with a hallucinatory agent, officials said.
