The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Vancouver followed the same model as most opening ceremonies: tons of interpretive dances accompanied by weird shit. The finale of the closing ceremonies was exactly what a Canadian Olympic Closing Ceremony should be like. It included:
1. Large inflatable Moose
2. Large inflatable Beavers
3. Michael Buble singing atop a large mounty hat
4. Cardboard and real hockey players
5. Dozens of flannel clad lumberjacks.
Things got a little weird just before finale when William Shatner, Catherine O’Hara ( The Mom from Home Alone Fame), and Michael J. Fox each come out for a comedy/sentimental routine.
