1. Savor the Flavor Coffe Shop: A place where the entire imgross staff has gone to work on the site. One of the notable times at this coffee shop was right after a discussion about rape. The baurista came over and told us to clean up the language with all the kids around (the place also sells ice cream). We all looked at each other confused, we didn’t realize we were being vulgar. imgross writer Myles Kennefick speaks up to say, “oh, it must have been all that fucking rape talk”. The baurista walked away. 2545 N Lincoln Ave Chicago. Free WiFi.
2. Noble Tree Coffee Shop: This coffee shop is a great place to think and get some work done. I distinctly remember one time I was posting an article comparing rare baseball feats to rare sexual feats. As I did this, 5 feet away from me, two women were having an in depth conversation about God and spirituality. Bible this, Jesus that, personal direction here, beauty of flowers there. Little did they realize that only a few feet away, a man was posting blog topics such as how the standing 69 with the woman holding the man is the rarest sexual feat known to man and how it relates to a perfect game in baseball. I recommend this place to anyone! 2444 N Clark St Chicago, Free WiFi
3. Panera Bread: There are many Paneras in Chicago. I only recommend the one on 616 W Diversey Parkway. I choose this one in particular because of a frequent guest. Every time that I have ever been in there, this lady has been there. So, whenever I need some gross inspiration, I just glance over at the drugged up lady in the corner talking to herself. 616 W Diversey Parkway, Chicago, Free WiFi
4. Borders: The cafe at the Borders Books on Michigan Avenue is a great place to get your blog up and running. Glancing out onto the busy street below can give anyone inspiration. Especially when one of the many people below is a man in a nice suit, holding a sign that says, an FBI AGENT RAPED MY WIFE. 830 North Michigan Avenue Chicago, Free WiFi
5. My unpaid internship: Working at an (unpaid) internship didnt get in the way of posting imgross everyday. If you plan on or are currently working at an unpaid internship (I dont recommend it), updating your blog should be your number 1 priority. One time, as I was “working” at my desk, I switched over to imgross to put up the latest post. “What are you doing?”, I heard from behind me. Terrified, I turned around and there was my boss. I was posting an article proclaiming 17 women that were hotter than Jennifer Garner. Luckily, my boss laughed. He actually became a fan of the site. I didn’t get hired at the end of the program though. 1031 Milwaukee Ave, Chicago. $0/hour
