United States Olympian Seth Wescott took home his second straight gold medal in the Snowboard Cross and he did so in jeans.
Well kind of.
Wescott’s pants look exactly like denim jeans complete with a belt, a snazzy buckle, and even worn down holes. These trousers are actually made from a water proof material called Gore-Tex. The team also sports a coat made to look like flannel. Wescott and the entire US Snowboarding Team are wearing this fancy ensemble.
In order to keep pace with the US, the Canadians are sporting fake Mounty uniforms, also composed of Gore-Tex. Some controversy surrounds the mandatory oversized hat and whether or not they should be allowed to compete with a billy club attached to their belt.
