My beloved Chicago White Sox signed pitcher J.J. Putz on Friday, as a potential right handed set up man to go with lefty Matt Thornton. This would be the logical spot for him, but what I’m really hoping is that this causes present closer Bobby Jenks to feel threatened and return to his beer-swilling violent tempered ways. There’s nothing I’d like to see more than a seasoned veteran like Omar Vizquel having to calm down a blacked out Jenks in the clubhouse as he slugs a bottle labeled “Tequila” that he picked up from Jewel. Come back to us Bobby! The Sox will be shit anyway.
