reuters) St. Paul, MN- 3rd year teacher gary brown of riverside jr. high in st. paul, mn has grown increasingly annoyed at his students’ lack of progress in the computer lab. ”its like they have no concept of ergonomics or practicality.” sheila mcnamara, a 7th grader not taking computer lab until next semester said, “i just don’t understand…why don’t they make the keyboard a-z, it would WAY easier. this is stupid.” brown actually has a reputation of being a very lenient teacher around riverside according to other teachers. ”40 words per minute translates to an A. thats like if i gave the students passing grades for just naming the characters in the canterbury tales” said dr. eric strauss of the language arts department. “well, nobody said teaching was going to be easy, so ill just keep at it.” said brown. brown’s first semester students are just finishing up their take-home finals this week. the final mostly consists of a powerpoint presentation on a topic of their choice featuring bullet-points and fly-ins.
