if you’ve recently noticed, wikipedia has a new graphic on their site that says “Number of Wikipedia articles in milions” (13.5) and a chart that states this is only half of where they would like to be and insist “help keep it growing. Wikipedia Forever.” while i like this go get em attitude from wikipedia, 25 million is a pretty big number. also, the ratio of me finding an article of useless crap on wikipedia to the number of things ive tried to search that doesnt come up in the wikipedia database is like 50-1. if someone hasn’t felt the need to write about something yet, but i can find “grape phylloxera” on wikipedia, maybe we don’t need it. |
