The swine flu is the greatest excuse I have in my arsenal currently.

flu

I use it to get out of going to class or work, or from seeing assholes who want to hang out cause there going to be, “downtown” tonight (downtown is the loop you pricks and you are more then likely coming to Lincoln Park or Lakeview).  The media has over hyped this thing so much that most people just fear the words and the second you mention them there are no questions asked, just like the old stand by excuse of explosive diarrhea . This isn’t the first time this has happened  and past events would have made for great excuses too.  The over hyped gay rights movement of the late 60′s and 70′s made people fearful of “catching gay.” Slightly related, the HIV/AIDS scare caused by the media in the 1980′s and early 90′s which had pretty much the exact same effect. I mean people wouldn’t even go out of the house without wearing a condom, just in case. Thanks for ruining my first early sexual experiences media. Just when that died down, in 1995 we were given the film OUTBREAK, about the outbreak of a deadly strain of Ebola virus. This gave media outlets an opportunity  to do several, “what if this happened,” scenarios to scare the shit out of the easily manipulated population of the United States. All over hyped pandemics, and all great excuses to get out of doing something you don’t want to do. For you ladies out there, for some reason, HIV/AIDS is still a valid excuse to get men to wear condoms, I have no idea why. I mean those things are expensive and it’s just a whole different sensation.

thanks steven
