metrodome gross

the metrodome is gross. its hard to say anything else about it, its just gross. its basically concrete, some plastic seats, a scoreboard, and a playing field. it is certainly a far cry from the new cowboy stadium. that said, it represents something, a dying aspect of americana. at some point in the recent past people went to stadiums to watch sports, not to sit in the ultra modern stadium bar, or participate in the “fan experience,” or play games at the stadiums virtual playground. it was just you, your buddies or your family and the game. the game was the spectical, not the venue. i know i sound like andy rooney but its kind of sad to see the old venues go….so we salute the gross metrodome.
