Milton Bradley Experiment Over

CHAPMAN_CUBS_24.JPG

“It’s just not a positive environment. I need a stable, healthy, enjoyable environment. There’s too many people everywhere in your face with a microphone asking the same questions repeatedly. Everyone is just bashing you. You go out there and play harder than anybody on the field and never get credit for it. It’s just negativity…And you understand why they haven’t won in 100 years here, because it’s negative. It’s what it is.”
-Milton Bradley

Despite being named after a board game company, Milton Bradley is no fun at all.  Jesus Christ man, if you didn’t act like a fucking jackass all the time maybe they wouldn’t be “bashing” you.  Also it would help if you weren’t terrible.  Flipping a ball into the stands with two outs warrants being asked some questions.  So does being sent home in the middle of the game by your manager.  As does losing 60 points off your average and hitting half as many home runs from a season ago.  Who could have predicted that a player with his seventh team in ten years would be a problem for the clubhouse?
