The best thing about getting invited to most parties nowadays is that the invitation usually comes electronically through evite or facebook. The great advantage of this is that you can actually see not only who was invited but who has RSVPed and who hasn’t. I was recently invited to a party by a friend and I immeadiately responded with “not attending” after reviewing the guest list. When the host asked why I would not be attending I told her I wasn’t stoked about the guest list. Now she will have to figure out if I thought there were too many uncool people invited, not enought cool people invited, or just a bad combination of people invited
