beatles rock band

 today is the release of the beatles rock band video game. video games in general are becoming more and more advanced with every passing year, however the damage they create is also advancing.nothing is more angering then watching espn in the early afternoon or late at night and seeing those chubby loser kids competing in madden 2010 and trash talking one another like they are actually matt forte or brett favre. try picking up an actual football and playing in an actual game. or is that to much work for these new era kids?

      a similar story can be told with this new guitar hero rock band phenomenon. simply because you can beat rock band 3 on advanced does not make you any sort of musician. why would any kid even bother picking up an instrument anymore? with album sales dropping because of stolen digital music it is becoming harder and harder to make any sort of living creating music. and the glamour of playing your creation to a packed soldier field is becoming harder and harder because all the fucking kids are spending their money on these stupid video games and not going to see live entertainment anyways. not to mention ticket prices are fucking outrageous thanks to promotion groups like ticketmaster or livenation. why even bother? the answer is because there is probably nothing more intellectually stimulating then learning to read music and play some sort of instrument, and there is probably nothing less stimulating then playing some guitar video game that is driven off of muscle memory.

      learning, understanding, and appreciating good music opens and exercises the mind. it helps children become more well rounded and successful in other aspects of life. let your kids play rockband all day and night, and they will probably end up peaking out writing terribly written articles for some gross online website, do you really want that for them!?….

       it is still a beautiful thing even almost 50 years later to watch the beatles create and perform their music, they had an understanding of songwriting that may never be topped by anyone, and certainly not some weird dressing synthesizer playing whore like lady gaga who is herself probably a rockband master. the dream is over, the music is dead, and the world is spinning out of control…. hear me!
