there may be nothing that intrigues me more then someone being such a large fan of an athlete that they find it absolutely necessary to create a youtube slideshow tribute in honor of them. song selection is really key to a successful video because you can only pick one song in the entire universe that you feel will embody the majesty of your favorite pro athlete. for example, kobe bryant and T.I.’s “big things poppin” would be a very appropriate combination, kobe dunking over people set to aggressive beats and lyrics is enough to get almost anyone excited…those videos are fine, but the videos that i find most interesting are the ones where the creator selects a song that doesn’t seem to fit, and basically leaves the viewer confused and disoriented. this is known as….the bizarre youtube tribute video:
zac grienke set to the cheetah girl’s “fuego”
colby rasmus set to sean kingston’s “fire on the dance floor”
tom brady set to a song that the user seemingly created himself(possibly myles kennefick)
joe mauer set to jonas brothers “when you look me in the eyes”
that girl put waaaay too much effort into a colby rasmus tribute
