ethernet?

i needed to have a technician come to my dorm room during the first week of freshmen year of college to set up my internet connection. this rather butch lady came in to my room to inspect the connection. she concluded that i needed a new ethernet cable. at the time, i had no idea what an ethernet cable was so i just figured she had a speech impediment and meant to say “internet cable”. i distinctly remember laughing to myself because i thought her “speech impediment” made her sound like quasimodo.
