General Pope and I were discussing the merits of various different cereal brands when I had an epiphany: Any cereal with marshmallows is superior to a non-marshmallow cereal (cinnamon toast crunch may be the only exception). Then I went over some basic strategies for eating a cereal with marshmallows.
- Just eat it
Not nearly as fun but you are still eating marshmallows
- Eat it saving some marshmallows but occasionally getting a marshmallow in a bit full of cereal
This is probably optimal strategy. You have a colorful bowl of milk at the end and you get to enjoy marshmallows throughout the process.
- Saving all the marshmallows
This is how I eat marshmallow cereals. In the end you have a bowl that has it’s entire surface area covered in marshmallow and you get to enjoy the combination of milk and sugar.
However you eat these cereals, it is important to realize whether it is Lucky Charms or Comets and Stars from Aldi, marshmallow cereals are the Cadillac of cereals. The thing I just realized is that I am an adult and I no longer have to bargain with my parents about going to bed earlier in order to acquire such a cereal. Kaboom for everyone!!!
