long beach county musician and actor snoop dogg is finding it more and more difficult to come up with funky ass shit every single day. the 36 year old rapper best known for his 1994 hit “gin and juice” and and his urban slang that he popularized in the early 2000’s that revolved around the suffix “izzle,” has not had a number one hit in over five years. “it used to be easy to come up with funky ass shit” snoop dog commented, “i used to be able to do it like every single day.” The rappers most recent album “ego trippen” failed to have a song in the top 100 on the U.S. hot 100 pop chart. “these days I sit down to come up with funky ass shit and it just doesn’t flow, for example i sat down yesterday to write and all that i came up with was a dissertation on 1970’s south african politics, which is pretty interesting, but not particularly funky.” snoop dogg hopes that his 10thstudio album “malice in wonderland” due out in late 2009 will help reverse his trend and propel him back to the top of his game. “i know i’ve still got it in me, but you know it just gets harder as you get older, perhaps i’ll try and write a murder mystery….is that funky?”
